STATIK is a powerful approach for implementing Kanban with a service team. This talk will start with a brief introduction to the Kanban Method and systems thinking followed by a walkthrough of the 7 stages of the approach, namely:

  • Understand the Purpose of the System
  • Understand Sources of Dissatisfaction
  • Analyse Demand and Capacity
  • Model the Knowledge Discovery Process
  • Discover Classes of Service
  • Designing the Kanban System
  • Roll Out

For each stage, I’ll provide some tried and tested tools and techniques for building your own workshop based on lots of successful STATIK workshops (and a few unsuccessful ones).
